Today I am glad to be sharing my top 10 secrets to having beautiful, clean skin! I am not one for hiding my 'secrets' - I want others to also be able to experience what keeps me feeling fantastic. Girls are MEANT to share secrets! Everything I have learned over the years can now be yours in the form of a few quick & easy tips. Starting with tip number 1!
Tip #1: Always smile - You attract goodness into your life; Positive people, positive situations & outcomes! Nothing ever comes from frowning and being cranky - Except of course wrinkles.
Tip #2: When I wake, I drink warm water with a slice of lemon, 40mls of Noni Juice & take Wheatgrass in powder form or tablets. The warm water helps kick-start your metabolism for the day, the lemon & Wheatgrass helps detoxify your body. Noni Juice is purported to stimulate the immune system, digestive system & is effective for treating chronic fatigue syndrome, high blood pressure & even cancer, according to studies by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Tip #3: Use organic skincare - What you are putting on your skin is being absorbed into your bloodstream - Think what nasty chemicals that may be getting into your body through your skincare routine. Tip #4: Exfoliate your body & face 1-2 times a week (I tend to once a week during winter due to how much more skin dehydrates in the colder months). This rids your skin of dead skin cells & impurities, leaving your skin smooth & refreshed.
Tip #5: Keep your skin well hydrated! Moisturize daily to keep your skin smooth & supple - When you apply, massage your skin, this re-activates your blood circulation & also helps reduce cellulite!
Tip #6: Establish a daily skin care routine - Cleanse, tone, moisturize, apply eye cream & some tinted moisturizer if you like to keep your skin relatively free of make-up.
Tip #7: Drink green tea - If you want to drink green tea all the time but you are constantly on the go - Boil a pot of organic green tea, pour it into a bottle & cool it in the fridge or drink it room temperature. I have been doing this for years & some people may look at you funny sometimes & ask why you are drinking crazy looking water (sometimes I will even put green tea bags in the bottle so I can refill during the day) but it is so good for your skin & health!
Tip #8: Keep your face well hydrated & do not underestimate the importance of an organic eye gel/cream. One of my favorites is KORA Organics Recovery Eye Gel by Miranda Kerr, it has been formulated to remove puffiness under & around the delicate eye area, soothes tired eyes & protects young eyes from aging.
Tip #9: Keep your nails well manicured & painted, nothing feels better than having pretty, tidy nails & toenails!
Tip #10: RELAX & drink LOTS of water! If you feel overly stressed, go & get a deep tissue massage. It's not just a relaxing massage, but they also work the knots out of your muscles. If you are not in the financial position to do this, have a friend give you one or reconnect with nature & walk on the grass outside or go for a bush walk. All of these things can help clear your head, as does exercise! When I feel stressed I will go for a run or do some yoga outside. Fresh air & getting the circulation going in your body is the best thing - AND it increases endorphins!
